Amanda Bossard, fresh out of Anchorage High School, in the year 1992, began studying marine biology. Bossard began her profession as a commercial seafood worker in the year 1999. She started working at the vessel F/V Sunset an a65' halibut-schooner that was turned into a Salmon tender, in the name of Murat Aritan. She was employed as a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard and Aritan are now married and have come together to stake their claim to their industry. Both of them are proponents of saving and profiting from natural resources that are used in the industry of seafood. Otolith launched its direct market wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia after Bossard came back from her home in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre one, and Andre 1, to Philadelphia. The husband of the business has a lengthy career in the fishing industry, which often keeps them apart for a period of five or more months. That's when they are focusing on their environmental and financial targets. Bossard along with her son Andre and Isabella, her daughter Isabella will return home to Southeast Alaska every summer as deckhands during the salmon season. Hooks and lines are employed to capture their salmon and then join Aritan for local processors for a period of two months.
